Lisa-Marie Newton is an award-winning actor and singer, voiceover artist, and filmmaker in San Francisco.

She is best-known in the Bay Area for playing Diana in the local premiere of Next to Normal, when she was nominated for a Bay Area Theatre Critics’ Circle (BATCC) Award, and for winning the same award playing Sarah Jane Moore in Assassins. Lisa-Marie has worked on stages in New York, L.A., Chicago, and Ashland, in addition to her time in San Francisco.

Since the pandemic, Lisa-Marie has turned her attention to film acting, being nominated for a Sanford Meisner Film Festival Award for the short Kathryn and writing, producing, and directing her own work, including the upcoming Diagnosis Lois, due out in 2025.

Her wide range of characters, from wickedly funny to grief-stricken, from intolerant and judgmental to warm and kindhearted, has garnered her praise from critics, who have called her both “a force of nature,” and “utterly hilarious.”

She lives on the coast of Pacifica with her husband, Scott, and her cat, Frieda.
