Marie Delacorte has been writing films since she could hold a pen. The daughter of two screenwriting legends: Terry and Gladys Delacorte, Marie was born to create magic. She gained fame with her Oscar (r)-nominated screenplay for The Legend of Purepoint, and cemented her reputation for gritty dramas with Baskets of Gerbils and Shy, both directed by Martin Scorsese. 

Now living in Santa Barbara with her wife, Kelly, and 2 cats, Marie mentors emerging writers on her podcast Write for Your Life and in workshops around the country.
